What is F1, F1B and F3 (Multi Generation)?

                                                F1  Goldendoodles:
Basically what that means is they are 50% Standard Poodle and 50% Golden Retriever. Though they shed less than most breeds they do shed some. First generation Goldendoodles have a 50% chance to be more like the Poodle and have low to no shedding, curly or wavy coat and a 50% chance they will be more like the Golden Retreiver and have a sleek shiny, shedding coat.

                                             F1B  Goldendoodle:
75% Standard Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever.
Second generation have wavier, curlier coats and are low to non-shedding, making them great for most allergy sufferers!

                                F3 (Multi Generation) Goldendoodle
                                        F1B X F1b or F1b X Poodle:
Consistently non-shedding with wavy/curly fleece coats, making them excellent for allergy sufferers.

  1. F1b puppies are still considered 1st generation pups.
    You don't get 2nd generation until you breed a F1/F1b to a F1/F1b.
